Chicago, pizza, yoga, Oh My!

Bella and I at the Staten Island Zoo today on the carousel!

Life lately has been full of experiences. With summer ending and fall just around the corner I couldn't help but think back on what a wonderful summer it has been. I try to do as much as I can with my weekends because work has been taking up so much of my week days. Don't get me wrong, I love my job but it has been CRAZY lately. I miss being able to do stuff during the week when places aren't crowded but I guess thats the cost of having a week day job. I just can't wait for things to slow down a bit. And can I just say, I LOVE fall! I am so excited that the holidays are coming up and that the cooler weather is here (I don't like sweating hahah). I can't wait for pumpkin picking, thanksgiving, and holiday parties! Not to mention John and I 1 year wedding anniversary and my 24th birthday coming up! Anyway, here are some pictures from my life lately.

At work I started filming and editing videos for our clients, two of my favorite things to do!

Crow pose! I have been really into yoga lately it is the absolute best.

Yoga in the park! (had to wake up at like 7:00 am though, me no likey)

Johns Mom has been joining me for Yoga as well :)

John and I went to a Mets game last night, our boys have been KILLING it!

Julie and I went to Chicago last month to visit our friend Sam, needless to say it was an amazing experience that I will never forget. I totally want to go back with John someday.
This is the sky deck by the way,  amazing view, not so scary until you actually step on haha.

You guys, Veggie deep dish, hand down greatest pizza ever.

We went to a Second City comedy show, it was hilarious!

I LOVED the bean!!!! I wish I could visit it every day.

Summer... You're pretty alright.

Usually, I have pretty mixed feelings about summer. I am more of a fall/spring kind of gal. This might be because I don't like sweating or because I don't like dressing for summer, but this year you guys, is pretty fantastic. I have been spending a lot of time with my wonderful husband and my family and just celebrating life. I experienced new things like zip lining! and yes it was so fun ;). I try to make the best of every day, even when I come home from work and the day is almost over, i try to push myself to do something fun with my day.

(at the beach with my family, I love my little nephew Adam!)

(So happy to finally go to the beach with John this year)

(Saw Foo Fighters with Christian, Carolyn and John a couple weeks back. Even with a broken leg they still put on one of the best shows ever)

( Zip lining with my mama! We had a blast. I was scared at first but now I want to zip line everywhere!)

(We went to medieval times with Christian and Carolyn. They brought Adam, which ended up being a big hit for him! He loved it!)

(I was really excited for medieval times... John is making a joke frown here, he is such a joker :P)

(Went to see Say Anything with Julie and Nicole. Fun little ladies night)

(John and I at Julies graduation party)

So this was my summer so far and there is so much more to come! Summer... keep it up, I am just starting to like you all over again ;P

Life Lately

My besties Hannah (left) and Kim (right) today. Got together before Hannah and Justin move out to California! WHAT?! Crazy kids.

My business cards make my new job feel so legit.

John and I went to Penn State for Hannahs Graduation.
(hannah and I jumping for joy)

Oh yeah and I TOTALLY CHOPPED 5 inches from my hair!

It has been awhile since I posted last. I just loose track of time these days. Having a steady 5 days a week 9-5 job will do that to you I guess! I try to make every weekend count now since I can't do too much during the week when I get home from work. Not much has changed really, life is the same, John and I both have the same schedule, he get home in time for dinner, I cook said dinner. I know we can't avoid falling into a routine during the week, however I am trying to make the most of any free time we have together, wether it be going to the gym or out to eat.

We had the pleasure of going to Penn State for my friend Hannah's graduation a few weeks back so that was a fun trip! This weekend we went to the city with her and our friends before her and our friend Justin move out to California together. We are starting a vacation fund so we can go out and visit them. There are a lot of places I have been meaning to have John and I visit in the future like California or my sister in Italy. It is just rough to save up money when you live in NY!

Now I am just trying to set goals for myself now that my school life is pretty much over and now real life has begun. I want to experience more and to not like anything hold me back. Hopefully I can do that with some new fun things to share on this blog next time!

Sincerely,
Naina

Spring is in the air!

(John and I getting lunch with his parents at Burrito Bar)

(Bella and I last weekend heading to the Childrens Museum. This girl sure loves tickling!)

(Jesse and I getting some tea together in Williamsburg. Btw try earl grey tea with some almond milk and vanilla syrup, it is just like a fruit loop)

(My totoro phone case!)

(my new mac at work!)

(my first print job at work)

IS IT APRIL ALREADY?!
Time really does fly! John and I have been married for half a year now. WHAT? MY WEDDING WAS 6 MONTHS AGO!? Anyways, life has been one big blessing lately. I got a new job and have been rocking it. I even got a new computer (the one they had was running too slow). I love it so far and have been learning a lot about design and getting better as a designer every day. I also officially quit my waitressing/bartender job. WAAA HOOOOO! The best part is that John gets home an hour after I do so we have been able to have dinner every night together like an old fashioned american family and I love it! We wake up and go to sleep at the same time too so to me that is just amazing considering the amount of times I would come home late from working at a restaurant to find John out cold and not being able to talk about our days or spend time together. Having the weekends off has its benefits too! I get to spend time with my niece and nephew pretty often now, I even went to visit my sister in williamsburg one weekend.

The 9-5 Monday through Friday gig is one I can get use to ;).

Up till now, John and I have always been focused on what is next, our goals and now we are finally where we want to be! We have our own place, we got married, and now we both have careers. Sure we want children and a house but right now I feel so content with life. We are right where we want to be, I like that I am finally at a place where I am just enjoying life and living day by day instead of constantly working towards something. Of course it is nice to have goals and of course we are constantly saving for the future, but as least now we are just in a great new phase in our lives and I am just going to kick back and enjoy it.

Today I became a Graphic Designer

I started my new job today as a Graphic Designer. I was interning and working my butt off when they hired me in the middle of my internship. It really goes to show that hard work pays off. So far I really like what I do. I never look at the clock and think to myself "when will this day end!?!" instead I am thinking "do I have enough time to start the next project?!?!?!". Crazy I know, but I love it. I love the programs I use, the creativity, its just part of me. This desk looks a little empty now but in time I plan on filling that wall behind my computer with completed projects someday. Heres to the start of my career!

Sincerely,
Naina

Its Been Awhile! (Honeymoon)

I know its been awhile since I have posted on here and I am sorry. Life has been crazy but wonderful lately! John and I went on our honeymoon this past month and it was just heaven. We went on Royal Caribbean's new cruise the Quantum of the Seas. It was our first cruise and I have got to say I was pretty smitten! We went for 12 days and stopped at 6 different islands. It was also John and I's first BIG trip together. It was definitely a trip we will never forget and we can't wait for our next trip!

Now we are back and of course the weather is just cold and wet. I really dislike this weather so coming back home was a little sad for that reason but other than that I am glad to be home in my own bed. We had adjusted back into life, being away 12 days really messes up your schedule sleep wise... at least for me. In other news, I started an internship today and so far I LOVE it. I get to do graphic design so I am absolutely thrilled. It's nice to work doing something you love and I am a big believer in it. Hopefully it leads to something big! Keep your fingers crossed people!

Sincerely,
Naina
